AIA Europe chapter member Les Jordan AIA of Vienna reports that he has successfully passed the LEED Green Associate exam without leaving Austria, through testing provider Prometric 1, which has testing facilities worldwide.
Jordan notes:
[H]e ordered the study material online through green-buildings.com 2 which provides a comprehensive study book (PDF download), mp3s, practice tests, and an 8-hour online seminar, which will give you the education requirements you need in order to apply for the exam.
The study package he selected took about 6 weeks of studying on my free time; I passed with about a 93%.Les sought LEED certification with the intent that his practice will capture a a new project in the Middle East, with the experience on that project helping him prepare for the LEED AP exams. He notes however that additional online courses are available for the AP education requirements as well.
