While the AIACE web editor would like to think he has mastered the art of event-information publishing, items are missed and questions are asked. We have answers. And while no one has asked, take note to register for Brussels: Art Nouveau to Contemporary before 5 April 2007 and save €50 on registration (direct link registration form PDF).

The process of upgrading the Camp Nou (FC Barcelona stadium) to a world class venue has started. During the coming months, architects from around the world will have the opportunity to submit their proposals for a profound remodeling of a stadium that will celebrate its 50th anniversary on September the 24th of this year. It is the objective of the club to reach this goal through a fair and open process.
The selection of the proposal for the remodeling of the Camp Nou will be by an international tender, organized by FC Barcelona, that will be supported by the Association of Architects of Catalunya, which will contribute the necessary expertise for selecting the architect, or team of architects, who will be commissioned to undertake the design and guidance of the project.More information and application details: www.fcbstadium.com/eng/

Mid-way through March, 146 out of 220 members of AIA Continental Europe have renewed their commitment to the chapter for 2007. Last year, the renewal rate for memberships was 64% — albeit in February. At the end of March, AIA and AIA Continental Europe member benefits are suspended. The removal of email addresses from the chapter mailing lists generated some late renewals last year; effort from the section directors and the membership committee chair also strengthened the renewal rate.—Richard Anderson, AIA, AIACE Secretary
