As details of the upcoming Helsinki Conference become evident, the editor wonders if details of past conferences were properly covered. With so many highlights, the task is daunting. That this not-so-small-detail, a panorama of the conference cruise on the river Seine (Paris, November 2004), might have been missed is shameful. —photo by Richard Anderson

Statistics indicate that 60% of all continuing education for AIA architects occur within firm offices. These 60% of the approximately 1.5 million recorded CES activities in 2004 for AIA members alone account for at least 900,000 free lunches. Firms can work with the companies coming into your offices and let them know how many lunches and handout materials are really needed. You are in this together if you want to increase your LU's and keep those free lunches coming.
If you are interested in organizing a Lunch Technical Seminar in your city, please contact AIA Continental Europe's Continuing Education Coordinator, Dominique Tomasov, AIA. She can give you advice on how to create a lunch-time seminar with the best results.
Three architects within the territory of AIA Continental Europe have been selected as Honorary Fellows of the American Institute of Architects for 2005.
Among them, Heikkinen-Komonen Architects present their Vuosaari Library and Community Center on Sunday, 29 May at the AIACE Helsinki Conference.
