KSU Forum on the City

The Florence program of Kent State University runs a series of forums on european cities, the most recent being Madrid, with Berlin happening today, 22 November. Hans Buchwald 1933-2013


Hans Herbert Buchwald, Vienna, Austria
Born: 10 June 1933
Died: 31 October 2013

AIA Europe recently and suddenly lost long time professional affiliate member Hans Buchwald in Vienna. Hans organized the memorable and popular chapter conference in Helsinki 2005. He was present at many more, including to give a lecture at the chapter conference in Berlin in 2003.

Hans will be cremated and buried in Vienna. A memorial service will be held in December.

AIA Hong Kong | New site design

@AIA_Middle_East | Annual Conference

This year's annual AIA Middle East conference will take place 20-22 November at The Address Hotel Dubai.

Taking place in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the event will feature architectural presentations and debates plus a full day program of guided tours to landmark projects in the UAE.

The Annual Conference also introduces the AIA Middle East Awards Program, to honor works of excellence in architecture by its members and to bring outstanding examples of architecture to public attention.
