Thomas Vonier FAIA, currently representing the AIA international community on the Institute Board as International Director, is a candidate for Vice President on the AIA Board of Directors for 2013. At the January meeting in Paris of the AIA Europe Board of Directors, a resolution was adopted expressing the full support of the Board on behalf of the Chapter.
It reads:
Whereas AIA Continental Europe Chapter member Thomas Vonier FAIA has announced his candidacy for the position of Vice-president of the Institute for 2013; and
Whereas elections are to be held at the National Convention in Washington, DC, 17-20 May 2012;
Let it be resolved that the duly elected Board of AIA Continental Europe for 2012 hereby express their enthusiastic support for his candidacy.
Furthermore, the President of the Board, Thomas Bitnar AIA, shall write a letter of support to each of the International Chapters within the Institute, in pursuit of additional support from their delegations.
Tom and Thomas are in Washington this week for AIA Grassroots: 2012 Leadership and Legislative Conference.
