Chapter has new corporate partner in Graphisoft
AIA Continental Europe is pleased to welcome Graphisoft as a “friend of the chapter” and supporter of the AIACE Chapter Meeting and International Conference in Athens, Greece. Last involved with AIACE in 2001 (Budapest), the chapter hopes this renewal grows into a continuing relationship.
Unable to send a representative to Athens, Graphisoft wishes to take this opportunity to introduce their Building Information Modeling (BIM) Experience Kit:
- Product — The Experience Kit includes a 30 day limited, fully functional version of ArchiCAD 11. Files may be saved for future sessions. Innovative technology allows users to convert files to be compatible with commercial versions of ArchiCAD upon purchase. Your firm will benefit from the assurance that your files can be taken forward in projects, so the time spent on learning is not lost.
- Interactive Learning — A two-hour overview of BIM based upon the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Massaro House is included in the download. The voice led tutorial takes users through all major steps in creating a complete BIM project. Steps include designing in a model based environment and generating floor plans, sections, elevations, interior elevations, renderings and quantity take offs.
- Assessment — You can track your understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts online.
- Rewards — Completed assessments are automatically registered for a chance to win an ArchiCAD program (1 drawing per month) as well as a chance to win a trip to Budapest to meet the Graphisoft team in spring, 2008.
A trial version of the BIM Experience KIT is available for download.
