Turin event by Italy Section finalized

Italy Section Director Esteban Cruz, Assoc. AIA and Giuliana Barbano, Int’l. Assoc. AIA are pleased to present the final program for an Italy Section Event following the opening of the AIA Continental Europe exhibit in Turin. Scheduled for 16-17 June, registration by email is required by 31 May. See details in the description (PDF file, Word file). CES application work is underway in anticipation of 5 LU’s.

Turin is sometimes called “the little Paris” because it is very similar to the French capital.

The streets with well proportioned buildings, the arcades, the squares with statues in the middle, historical cafes famous for chocolate and tiny cakes, ancient bookshops, all its monuments make it a unique city.

It is situated on the western edge of the Pianura Padana, between two rivers, the Po and the Dora, and it’s a “magic” city, not only because of its esoteric tradition, but above all because it’s a city with a soul.

This cannot be described, you have to come and see it by yourself to understand, especially at sunset…

Legend identifies the Po with the Eridanus and tells that Turin was born where Phaethon fell into the Eridanus like a falling star.

His sisters, the Heliades, shed bitter tears of amber for him, and Zeus turned them into poplars and placed them along the banks of the Po, where their unfortunate brother had fallen.
