Returning to Paris to a year’s worth of Architectural Record magazines makes for a lot of page turning — so much that turning becomes a reflex. The occasional item makes an impact, such as the editorial about the UIA Congress in Istanbul by Robert Ivy, AIA. I thought the editorial was important enough that I asked permission from Architectural Record (AR) to reproduce it for AIA Continental Europe members who either missed it, do not receive Record or wish to read it again.
